Hi. I actually did not touch the decals. I ended up doing the following: shop-paper towels (heavy duty paper towel) soaked in Evaporust, wrap the tubes. I did two wraps leaving it for a day at a time. The rust was removed to bare steel. The issue for me....what do you do with the areas with missing paint and bare steel. I dont have a next step planned. The frame is hanging in the garage. I will post pics of what it looks like.
