Personally, I am happy to ditch cables on bikes (so more interested in eTap). I know in aviation, and lesser extent driving, there is often a preference for cable/mechanical driven controls rather that FBW. But that seems to be more related to "feel" or feedback from the cable systems. I can see that for brake cables on bikes, but shift cables, not so much. Having to route shift cable around the BB always seemed like a sub-optimal solution.
