Clearly it is simpler. The solution I suggested is an adapter.

But what does the simplity get you apart from saving 60-70grams? Does anyone have negative experiences using these adapters? They are only $20.

I own this bottom bracket. There is nothing to press. Two minutes with a pair of Shimano 8 spline bottom bracket tools and done.








There is also the Praxis. Less expensive but also more complex.
