I don't think enjoying the tactile connection with things makes one a Luddite. I, for one, will not buy a car with an automatic transmission. Can an auto trans function well? Yes. Can it return decent fuel economy? Sure. Does it allow me a tactile connection with the machine? No. I like that feeling. I like the control I have over the machine along with the connection. Nothing wrong with that.
