I had EPS on one bike and hated it. The bike was fine, the drivetrain sucked. I changed it out to Record mechanical and it if felt like a completely different bike. More tactile, more intuitive to ride. I could feel the shifts rather than just have them happen. Much more to the way I like a bike to feel. Sold the EPS to a co-worker, eventually sold the bike to him. He put the EPS back on it and loves it. Different strokes.
I tried a GTI with the DSG. It would be fine if I was tracking the car constantly, but for everyday driving I'm glad I went with the 6-spd. And the DCC.
