I met this woman in the North Georgia mountains. She had walked the entire Appalachian Trail solo, 2,186 miles and had only 4 miles left when the photo was taken. Today was her last day. Done. Boggles the mind. I didn't know what to say except to acknowledge how special this day was for her.



Her effort was very humbling as I "suffered" through a 60 mile ride with 6200 ft elevation. Below is the Tocoa River Swinging Bridge which is part of the Appalachian Trail. I've wanted to check this place out for a long time.







North Georgia gravel.








Even the pavement was nice. Lots of this.
