Back to the question of how tall/old the kid is.
Another option would be to hunt down a kid's 650c bike with sloping top tube that you could fit her onto in the near future.
Then as she outgrows the kid's bike, simply move the 650c wheels from the kid's bike to the Terry.
Of course, many of the cheaper bikes have freewheels which may or may not be good, but you could prepare to rebuild the rear wheel as needed.
