What is the type of bottom bracket?

I would imagine the new cartridge bottom brackets would be much less sensitive to tightness than the vintage cup and cone bottom brackets. Probably less prone to unscrewing.

And, many of the cartridge bottom brackets are pretty cheap. $10 to $20???

I might even go with a plastic NDS part as it would be less prone to further damaging the threads.
