Hi

I have been given a back wheel with an 8 speed freewheel on it but my bike has a 7 speed freewheel, would I be able to take the 8 speed off, buy a new 7 speed and install the new wheel on my bike with ease?

sorry for the basic question as guessed I have limited knowledge on bikes
