You can lube: Caliper springs, cable ferrules, shifters/brake levers, derailleur pulleys, derailleur springs, did I already mention ferrules? Yes, lube those ferrules if you have creaking issues.
Boeshield can be used as a lube on more than just the chains. Its the same stuff they use on RV's and Marine industry as a lubricant/rust preventer. You can put that on any metal surface, not just a chain. I put it everywhere on my bike.
