Bikes: 1974 Teledyne Titan, 1970's Sekine, 1980's Kuwahara Tandem, plus a few dozen

I emailed Andrew Gobbo and he replied with some additional information that he authorized me to post, including that "after reading that thread I think I just learned some more about my grandfather than I knew before!

All the information written in responses sound accurate to me, so I am inclined to believe the few pieces I have not heard before.

First and foremost my grandfather was an amazing man. A truly great and loving grandfather who had such a passion for bikes and helping people get what they want or needed.

After he passed away in 2012 we started to clean out his garage (yes he made all of his Canadian made frames in his modest garage at 189 Erindale) and I brought the remaining frames to Vancouver to sell to Don, owner of Ride On Again, where I worked.

Yes his frames were made of legitimate Columbus tubing, which could in fact range in age quite a bit because it’s hard to say when he bought it or how long it stuck around...

Nobody really knows when he built the frames we had left, they had been hanging on the wall in a tight row for years, but I believe these ones must have been built in the late 80s or early 90s.
As I was young I cant really remember when exactly he stopped welding, but I know he was still fixing some neighborhood bikes or tinkering away on some randoms well into his 80s

As for me, I live in Vancouver these days and years ago after leaving Ride On Again I started working in my garage just like my grandfather, except
simply repairing bikes instead of creating frames. 8 years later and I’m still doing it and it’s my full time job!! (You can see me at Facebook.com/EastVanBikeTuneUps)

Because I work from home in my garage I am able to shut down and travel in the winter (I am currently in Tenerife, with my bmx bike) And the first year that I went away I was able to visit some family just outside of Treviso where my grandfather grew up.
It all came full circle...

But mostly I am just so happy to read that you are truly enjoying the Gobbo frame that you have. They are old beautiful bikes and happy to see one
appreciated like this."

Andrew also sent me a photo of another Gobbo that had been spotted in Vancouver that I have attached below along with another Gobbo photo that is on the Ride On website and a photo of Bruno from his obituary notice.
