Clifford, yes I've checked the steerer tube & headtube with both a level/straightedge and a separate piece of pipe to ensure no bends to the headtube, which is good news
#1 . Good news
#2 is that there doesn't feel like any rippling on the underside of the top/down tubes - those seams are also lugged with big honkin' things so I'm feeling pretty confident about the integrity of the rest of the frame. In a way it's good the fork took all the torsion, though it does seem to be the hardest thing to replace!
The issue is that there's so
many odd things about my fork: It came off a 61cm frame size (the largest in that year's lineup, here: ...), so the steerer tube is 220mm long (longer than the average track fork, which I actually would consider an adequate replacement at this point), that headset/crown seat issue (yes I could buy a new headset in JIS & a new crown race in ISO but that's an extra $40 again), and the fact that it's a
1" threaded fork automatically start me off on the wrong foot for searching and it's like finding a needle in a haystack!
I got REALLY close with Retrogression's Lugged Track Fork (it even has 45mm of rake, as opposed to what looks like the typical 41mm for a track fork. Ideally I'm hoping for as close to 50mm as I can find to maintain similar ride characteristics as the OG Club Fuji) but they only have the 200mm in stock and when I reached out they said the supplier's been out for a while.
Mr. 66 - My username is slightly deceptive, I'm currently in San Diego. The bike co-op here said they wouldn't have any parts for me and I've already tried a number of recylers/bike mechanics in the area :/
