To cut a long story short, I had a really sweet ride today with a mate, went to the mountains for 4 hours but had a freaking huge bail off this new jump that was built on one of the trails (a sketchy kicker, I was going so fast I actually flew about 2.5 metres! RECORD

) But then I landed like crap and the next thing I knew I was flying all over the place, came to rest with the bike on top of me and as I got up I realised a few things:
a) mercifully my bike was intact apart from some even more scratched up shifters and grips b) I sprained my ankle very lightly c) scratched my left thigh a lot, it bled like hell.
So, the end of the grips (where the handlebar finishes) got torn open on one side, is there any danger to riding like this? i.e. will having the inside of the handlebar open to the world with no grip to cover it cause any potential damage?
Thanks
