The year is easiest to tell for my new bike—it’s got a stamped/affixed badge of a style only used in 1980.

nervex lugs, 103 decal, stamped drops, down tube levers, “course” decal on the upper tube, “Peugeot” marked rear derailleur. Made in France sticker.

thanks for all this—glad to hear I’ve been on the right track with a bunch of things but I actually had completely overlooked both the lugs and the braze ons as good info sources.
