Whether it's English or Italian just tells you the threading for mating to the bottom bracket shell. The spindle length is independent of this property. Either English or Italian are available in a wide variety of spindle lengths to suit the chainline needs of different cranksets, so it's just a matter of finding an Italian JIS taper bottom bracket that has the correct spindle length for your Sprint crankset, which according to Velobase is 108mm.

You can get this Velo Orange unit for example. It is Italian thread and comes in a 110mm spindle length, which will be fine for your purposes.
