The Sprint bottom bracket came in both English and Italian versions. However, both used the same 109mm spindle. Since the spindle is symmetrical, when used with the Italian cups and a 70mm shell, the axles protrusion is 1mm less on each side.
So I guess that means the Italian cups are thicker.
Is the spindle taper JIS on these? I seem to recall both Superbe and Sprint having a "Sugino Mighty" (i.e. ISO) taper at some point.
