Thought I'd provide a little update. Swapped out the very heavy Armidillo tires for some Vittoria Open Corsa CX tires. Then I got ride of the heavy Shimano double sided pedals and threw on an extra set of my Look Keo Pedals. Finally I swapped out for a slightly longer one to get the reach spot on for me. Those simple steps to get it ready to ride brought the weight down to a more respectable 20 lbs 2 ozs. It was 21 lbs 14 ozs when I brought it home. If I ditch those heavy Bontrager wheels it should easily be under 19 lbs. I'll do that if I like the feel once I get it on the road. Maybe even upgrade the components a bit to shave off some more weight. For no reason other than to do it really.
