It's all opinion. I would never put hydros on a XC/trail bike. If I biult a a FS, I would even consider not putting hydros on them. Pulled by a cable, yuck? Hydros have liquid in them, yuck. Plus if you bust something on the trail w/ your hydro set up, you're screwed. Plus you have to bleed them and worry about all that crap, while w/ mechanical you don't. Not to be rude, but you are starting to get annoying when someone asks what mechanical brakes to get and you say Juicys. When someone asks what hardtail to get, I dont tell them what FS to get, cause thats not what they want.
