Take a look at the head badge. There should be a 4 digit number stamped in it vertically. The first number is the last digit of the year it was made and the other three are the day of that year it was made. So "7001" could be January 1, 1977, 1987, or 1997. To my eye those decals look newer than 1986, but I could be wrong.
