For years, I commuted with a Carradice Barley. Like many people say, the back of your thighs gently touch the bag during the pedal stroke but you don't notice after a short time. A PVC pipe about 2 inches long can push the bag back a bit and it won't touch your legs at all. There are "racks" to support the bag but I never tried one.
