Somebody offered me a Shimano C201 mtb derailleur new in the box (looks like its an 8 speed). Looks like a long cage with a max of 34T according to specs. Is it worth maybe picking this up plus a road link? I've read a couple things that a 10 speed cassette can be used with an 8 speed derailleur..
