There has been a lot of discussion about left-front vs. right-front cable routing. My 1962 Bianchi came with right-front, with the rear brake cable stops along the lower left side of the top tube. My 1970 Peugeot has the rear brake cable stops on the opposite side. Both configurations seem "normal" enough to me, although I have standardized on left-front on all of my current bicycles.

I was referring to the tortured bending of both cables and the inadequate length of the left/rear, rather than the parity.
