Touring related stuff is a bit harder to come by at the show, but there are some nice finds. Last year I picked up a nice cold weather/rain coat for 50% off. I also managed to get a pair of shoes for dirt cheap. Also got a few small replacement parts for cheap (brake and shifting cables, pads). I always find a couple of deals that makes the price of getting worth it.

There is also the chance to meet members of the local cycling groups such as TBN and Ontario Randonneurs.
