(Picture above) I think thats a California Condor, probably why its tagged(#68) for keeping track of health and movement. These birds were nearly extinct in the 1980s but fortunately saved by a breeding in captivity and release into the wild program. With the ocean in the background I'm guessing this is on the Big Sur Coast. If anyone has info on this pic please post or PM me.

Yup. It was during the Highway 1 road closure a year and a half ago, when the bridge was out. I was able to get quite close without spooking it. I have a whole bunch of pictures. They were taken on my iPhone with digital zoom, which is why the quality isn't great.
The number is actually 168, and this one is named "Beak Boy". (The 100 is color-encoded).
