The Bolt has an auto-detect function which uses the GPS and rotations to determine tire size and then sets it from there. It has been dead accurate as far as I can tell. Each time you start the device it does this measurement. It takes about a mile to get the setting dialed in.

I have the usual 700c road bike and a 26" MTB/Commuter bike and I don't do anything to set it when I swap between them, except that at some point I decided that swapping the wheel sensor is a PITA. I should just buy another.
