I mostly commute to work so I have my wallet in my pants in my backpack which has my ID and contact info.
For all other rides I carry my ID and credit card. I used to carry it either in a small saddle bag or small frame bag depending on the bike. Since buying my new belt mounted phone holster, I carry them in there. Yes, I ride in black golf/coaches shorts.
