3speedslow, I'm the same way. I can't get comfortable with 175mm cranks. If my cranks are 170mm or shorter, I don't notice anything. I'm amazed I can even notice when they are 172.5mm, because it's such a tiny bit extra. I have one bike with 155mm cranks, and it's fine for me, and that's a surprise, too.
well I gave it the old college try but found my knees protesting after a few fun filled days. These dang knees are mighty picky now! I’ve read where if you go up, it might cause trouble but if you size down, not so much.
