I recently acquired a nice De Rosa SLX while De Rosa actually confirmed it was made in 91, I still have some questions.
On the frame The marking says 'ime' which the seller explained that it was supplied to the team call 'ime' in Massachuetts and probably ridden by a 'Kiwi' Graeme Miller. At first, I was just excited get one of my dream bike but was skeptical about being a team bike. I did some digging. To my surprise, I did find something.
https://newspaperarchive.com/lowell-...-26-1992-p-20/ This article talks about a race held at Lowell, Massachusetts in May 26,1992 and in it, a team called 'IME' is mentioned with some names even I recognize. Also found that there was a ' pro-team' called 'ime -Healthshare' albeit only for the '93 season which used De Rosa as the team bike. I think it would make sense that '93 team would use SLX frame. Especially if that team's amateur predecessor was indeed 'ime' team.
Is there anyone have more info on that team? Or perhaps I get really lucky and get connected with formal team members?
