I just watched the pilot episode, where Dave and the La Strada "meet"... it looked a bit nicer than resprayed Huffy. It was a faded out, direct from VCR tape copy... still, the bike appears to have top tube clamps for the rear brake cable (which would have been typical for a nicer tube frame), pointed seat stay caps, a fluted alloy seatpost, suede racing saddle, and three piece crankset.
