I used bike flights, but had my builder friend pack the bike for shipment after I used foam pipe insulation to wrap the entire frame and fork. Everything made the trip with no damage, they even did pick up and delivered to my granddaughters home. Cost seemed reasonable and so much easier than me trying to horse a bike box from the airport to the train.
Thank you. I had a friend take a frame to the USA from France, but I built castors in to the box, and a decent handle! Bikeflights were a bit more expensive than I was expecting, still looking at ways to bet bikes over there.
