its a parallelogram so it may move back slightly , but still stay level..

Mine was when they color-coded density .. black for my 220 pounds purple was denser yet.. blue , for lighter
being round cylinders, you can stiffen them by not letting them get wider .. adding a hose clamp or some metal tubing around them
(Hose /Jubilee ..clamp a Brompton suspension block stiffening trick..

ST there is a bold dial ..arrow indicating 1,3,5,7,9, 9 the densest, 1 the softest.. I barely notice it moving using the 7 ( have the other 3...)
