We are having our "arctic blast" this weekend. It was only 68 and overcast when I headed out this afternoon for my usual Sunday 50 miler where I do a couple laps on the nearby army bases then head to Oahu north shore. With the cold came a pretty good north wind which is unusual here (normally we have a pretty good wind, but E or NE tradewinds). This resulted in having a nice tailwind coming back home up our 1000' "pineapple hill". Between the cool temps and the easy ride in, felt like I could do another 50 when I got home. Next Sunday I will be doing my annual post-super bowl ride (I get a couple hours between the game and sunset here).
