I'll start with my Moser. This is my salty road and rain bike. She won't get a cleaning until spring thaw. That's when I can put my garden hose out.
The long shot makes her look ok. But the close-ups...
Dirt, grime and grease won't hurt a steel frame if they aren't cleaned off right away. Corrosive salts are another story entirely. That's too ice a bike to get eaten slowly by road salt.
