I got the bike from the curb on bulk trash day. It had already been upgraded with various things including a sealed bearing BB whose brand I don't remember. I'm pretty sure it's English thread. I'm going on that assumption, and I'll soon find out if I'm wrong. The headset may be 26 tpi, but that's OK, as it's still working fine.
