Put about 2000 km on the Bianchi, this year, and this thread made me realize that the bike could use a bit or tidying up. So, soap and water, a bit of WD40, a fine brass wire brush and a rag, cleaned off most of the mess...
But the salt air means rust and the rust s very aggressive(lots of rust snakes are easier to see once I cleaned the bike off). The bike will be disassembled, before I head home in April. I will slap a coat of paint on it, after de-rusting what I can....
Though I do prefer ProLink for my chain, that lube does little to prevent rapid rusting or the chain. With that in mind, I give it a blast of WD40 at frequent intervals, and the ProLink only now and again...
