Yea trainer users , tire makers assume , are on race bikes (getting fit to win races) any slick tread tire should be adequate

But, airless /solid / captive air foam 'rubber' tires roll heavy on the street, but for a trainer workout that may be just the thing..

speeds? just 1.?. increase the resistance if it gets too easy a spare wheel (even steel rim (cheap) and wool felt * brake shoes are a friction increase option.

* these are what actual stationary trainers use...
