My LBS told me the story of a guy who was using a brass plumb bob with a sharp point to do bike fitting. These weigh maybe 8 ounces, and the point should be hardened steel. He dropped than on the customer's new frame. There was a divot. THAT was a problem.

But if you don't even see paint damage there is not likely any observable change anywhere.
