Depends on what you're used to -- it's never too bad and you could easily pick a route that keeps you away from busy streets. Most roads have good bike lanes.

I can be more specific, so let me know if you decide to ride it. You might make your way to 'The Loop' and follow it north along the Santa Cruz River, then east along the Rillito River, then jump off to connect with the Mt. Lemmon Hwy. It's an easy ride, for what that's worth.

The first water is a long way up, usually at the Palisades Ranger station, though I am not sure there's water available this time of year. In summer, I carry a third bottle in my jersey.
