Bikes: Giant Sedona, Schwinn SlikChick 1966, Cannondale hybrid I just bought - it's in the shop being refurbished

Have been running an idea through my head.
I own 2 Trek mountain bikes about the same age. An 800 and an 850. The 850 is in much better shape generally and rides better. The 800 however has a shorter frame that is more appropriate for my bod.
If I took the shorter frame to a shop along with the 850 and said I wanted the components of the 850 put onto the 800 frame, what might I expect to be charged. I have no idea how long it would take an experienced bicycle mechanic.
The frames appear to have the exact same mounts and be the same in every way except for height. Also the 800 has "TREK" stamped in the top of the thin tubes in the frame that go between the down tube the seat goes into and the rear axle.
Someone might say, why even do this - buy a new bike - but I kind of want to do this anyway.
Any ideas for me, of a rough estimate what it might cost to do that?
thanks!
Em
