Tire/wheel covers?
Within the last week, a pair of these were shown on a shop bike in the Linda Ronstadt thread, someone found some in the Saved from the Dump thread, and I just found a pair in an unopened box of stuff that came along with a bike I bought last year.
Until then, I never saw a pair.
What are these things supposed to do, and do they do it? Are they still used routinely by any cycling discipline or sub-culture?
Maybe I just need to get out more and circulate with a higher/lower/different class of cyclists.....sigh
