Price below, but you have to read closely to find it. Anyone interested, I will assume you have read the whole description.
This is a Brooks B.72 saddle with the date code A68, so probably made in 1968. It has the embossed aluminum badge on the back, and the bag loop eyelets are black (they are normally silver).
It looks great. The surface is shiny, and the leather is not cracked or torn anywhere. If you look closely there are scuffs at the edges and surface cracks in the leather. Honestly, it's a good looking saddle, does not look fifty years old.
But it is stiff and dry. I have poured neatsfoot oil into it, months ago, and again more recently, and it's still stiff and dry.
I don't like B72's, don't think they're comfortable. And this one is definitely not what I call comfortable. And I don't know how much riding it will tolerate before the leather shows it's age. Failure in not immenent, but inevitable if you ride it much.
I would like fifty bucks, plus shipping (about $10), or pick up in NJ or NYC.
I will add more photos later.
