Bikes: 3 Rollfasts, 3 Schwinns, a Shelby and a Higgins Flightliner in a pear tree!

Is your stem loose? I had my '54 Schwinn Hornet suddenly let go in the middle and the fork and stem kinda turned independently of each other until I put them back together (and I've never seen that before)...
