I have had multiple close encounters with deer and boar where I live. They are plentiful and cross the roads all the time. I have a buddy that got messed up badly by a gopher turtle.
The bison one takes the cake though. I can’t imagine what it would like to hit one of those.
Dogs,cats, squirrels. Opossums, racoons are common place. Bison, not so much. I saw a moose one time in New Hampshire. I imagine hitting that would suck as well. They should be require to have insurance if they are going to hang out near the roads.
