I tried a paddle jacket once. It seemed like a good idea, but that was one BIG MISTAKE.

Perhaps there would be a way to vary from breathable to non-breathable covering depending on conditions outside. Long or short?

I've been using some supposedly waterproof ski gloves lately. I've seen some waterproof ones that have a liner + thin plastic glove + shell... which would seem like they should be waterproof, but don't seem to be effective.

Anyway, my ski gloves will get moist with a hard effort when it is dry, but I get puddles of water in the fingertips if I'm out for a few hours in the rain.
