I read on another forum where some guy was wearing a cross around his neck and during a crash the cross penetrated his NECK and missed a main artery by about an inch, the cross was about an inch long and it buried itself up to the fastener. I knew a guy that never had a seat bag because he stored all of his stuff in his jersey pocket, he crashed and his CO2 cart, or the inflator, he didn't know which, damaged his back so bad he needed fusion on one disk; I read on another forum where the same thing happened to a guy but it was mini pump that did the damage; and read about a guy who had a Walkman (this probably happened in the 90's when those things were common) wore it on his side crashed and severely bruised his kidney. I never carry anything back in those pockets other than soft food. I knew a guy who had been riding a bike for 30 years all over mountains of California, probably averaged 50 miles or more a day died of heart attack, so I leave my heart at home when I go riding...
