Back when I was a Garmin user browsing their Edg1000 forums semi-regularly, there was at least 2-3 threads about broken iPhone/iOS behavior a week.
I could add yet another. It seems that Garmin is less then diligent about keeping up with Apple OS updates. The basic BT connection on my 1000 will not do an automatic connection since the most recent iOS update. I can manually connect, but it loses it during the ride and I have to do another manual connect at the end in order to upload the ride.
It’s worked perfectly for the 3 years I’ve used the 1000.
