It mentions that this setup creates friction on the drive train. I would think over sized pulleys would be installed to help with that. Also, seems this would suit a "gear-masher" more that a low gear spinner. Don't think we will see Froom use this. It's obvious not for weight saving either. I'll stick with my double up front!
