I have a 34/50 Centaur with a standard Veloce FD. I don't notice any difference from my old standard crankset. The bikeshop set it up for me though, I think all they did was lower the FD a bit.
I'm not looking to spend $400+ to replace my old 52/39 Record for a Record or Chorus compact set.
But the Centaur 50/34 is reasonably priced, can probably use my existing Record B/B, and may even work with my Record FD if I can figure out a way to lower it (braze-on)
Or should I be looking at an aftermarket Crank/BB set all together..?
