Maybe WaveCel is better than Koroyd, maybe it's not, but the fact is that Trek is not the first company to experiment with something other than foam in a bike helmet. The only difference (if I understand it correctly) is that Bontrager completely eliminates foam, whereas Smith retains a bit in some areas of the helmet.
