We had set for a 30 miler with a lunch at mile 18. Big brother was gonna meet us with his car after his soccer practice. She asked if she could ride home with him. "I'm really tired!" The climb wasn't what made her tired. She was pushing the pace really hard in an attempt to break her mileage record. At lunch she said: "I should've paced myself. I went really hard at the beginning. Can we try again next weekend?"
